This Thanksgiving, as we gather to share food and fellowship, let's lift our gaze beyond the feast and focus on the divine source of all blessings: The Triune Godāthe Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. Without the distinct yet unified work of the three divine Persons, we would have nothing to be truly thankful for.
1. š God the Father: Our Creator, Sustainer, and Source of All Goodness
Our primary gratitude is directed to God the Father, our ultimate Creator, Maker, and Sustainer. Every breath we take, every provision we enjoy, and the very existence of the world is a gift from His hand.
He is our Creator and Giver of Life:
āIn his hand is the life of every creature and the breath of all mankind.ā (Job 12:10)
He provides for our daily needs and sustains the world:
āEvery good and perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of the heavenly lights, who does not change like shifting shadows.ā (James 1:17)
āGive thanks to the Lord, for he is good; his love endures forever.ā (Psalm 107:1)
2. āļø God the Son (Jesus Christ): Our Savior and Redeemer
Next, we offer profound thanks to Jesus Christ, God the Son, for His unparalleled act of love and sacrifice. His life, death, and resurrection are the foundation of our hope, forgiveness, and ultimate salvation.
He is the reason for our salvation and reconciliation with God:
āBut thanks be to God! He gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.ā (1 Corinthians 15:57)
He demonstrated the greatest love:
āFor God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.ā (John 3:16)
Through Him, we have access to God:
āTherefore, since we have been justified through faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ, through whom we have gained access by faith into this grace in which we now stand.ā (Romans 5:1-2)
3. š„ God the Holy Spirit: Our Comforter, Companion, and Empowerer
Finally, we express deep gratitude for God the Holy Spirit, who lives within believers. The Spirit is our constant Comforter, our ever-present Companion, and the distributor of divine gifts, guiding us and empowering us to live a life pleasing to God.
He is our Helper and Comforter:
āAnd I will ask the Father, and he will give you another advocate to help you and be with you foreverāthe Spirit of truth.ā (John 14:16-17)
He empowers us with spiritual gifts and fruit:
āThere are different kinds of gifts, but the same Spirit distributes them.ā (1 Corinthians 12:4)
He ensures we have a true, deep communion with God:
āMay the grace of the Lord Jesus Christ, and the love of God, and the fellowship of the Holy Spirit be with you all.ā (2 Corinthians 13:14)
š Conclusion: Thanksgiving Focused on the Triune God
This year, let our praise be a united chorus directed not just at the blessings themselves, but at the Triune Divine PersonsĀ who are the source of those blessings. Our thanks is complete and true only when it embraces the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spiritāthe God who is eternally good and always at the center of our lives.
āTherefore, since we are receiving a kingdom that cannot be shaken, let us be thankful, and so worship God acceptably with reverence and awe.ā (Hebrews 12:28)

š The Greatest Gift of Thanksgiving
So, as the aromas of the feast fill our homes this year, let our gratitude rise first and highestānot just to the blessings, but to the Blesser. Let us look past the temporal gifts and fix our gaze upon the eternal Giver: God the FatherĀ (our source), God the SonĀ (our sacrifice), and God the Holy SpiritĀ (our sustainer). For once, let the Holy TrinityĀ be the true center of our table. Give thanks to the LORD, for He has been good, He is good, and He will always be good. May our hearts overflow with praise today and every day!
